- If you are old enough to have voted in 2001 THEY DID ASK YOU. We all had the option of opposing the Patriot Act and the vast majority of Americans supported it. Majority rules. Instead of pretending that this was done in secret, it's time to admit that we ourselves made a bad decision.

- I don't applaud him. We the people knowingly elected congress people who supported this in 2001 because we were scared. I agree that we should revoke it. But I don't think this miserable little rat is a hero because he destroyed the defense system that we ourselves created.

- We voted this policy into place after 2001. Those of us who are old enough can remember what things were like after 9-11. Now the country has recovered psychologically and we've ready for the Patriot Act to be revoked.
